JAMMU, May 10: The final result of PG Diploma Courses (2012-2013) offered by Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), an autonomous institution of Ministry of I&B, Government of India, was announced yesterday. The students of first batch of Jammu centre in English Journalism have brought laurels to centre as one of the students namely, Sugam Singhal was declared the overall topper among all the six centres of IIMC across the country. IIMC Kerala (Kottyam) ranked 1st as 87 % students of said centre secured first divisions closely followed by Jammu centre where over 83% students secured 1st Division.
IIMC Jammu Centre is currently offering PG Diploma in English Journalism- an intensive one year programme, wherein students are exposed to Print Journalism, TV and Radio news reading.
The process for admission to PG Diploma in English Journalism for 2nd batch has already been taken in hand. The entrance examination at all India level is being conducted on May 26, 2013.
