IIM Jammu hosts advanced management development programme

JAMMU, Feb 2: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu inaugurated the advanced management development programme under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) of the Development Commissioner, MSME (DCMSME), Government of India, at its Jagti Campus, here today.
Existing entrepreneurs from diverse sectors are participating in the five-day residential programme. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Prof Pranab Ranjan Das, Programme Director and Chairperson, Center for Small Business Development, IIM Jammu; Dr Pratik Maheshwari, Co-Chairperson, Entreprene-urship Education and Consulting (EE & C), IIM Jammu and Dr Sumesh P Soman, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
Prof Pranab Ranjan Das emphasized that the programme aims to strengthen and upscale existing entrepreneurs by enhancing their managerial, strategic, and operational capabilities. He underscored the pivotal role of MSMEs in India’s economic growth, the focused efforts of the Government of India in the current financial budget to promote the MSME ecosystem, and IIM Jammu’s continued initiatives in entrepreneurship development and capacity building.
Dr Pratik Maheshwari addressed the participants and provided an overview of the center’s activities, highlighting its regular conduct of entrepreneurship training programmes, corporate engagements, and ministerial capacity-building initiatives.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Sumesh P Soman, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
The programme is designed for existing MSMEs, entrepreneurs, promoters, and executives, with the theme Capacity to Competitiveness, Strategize, Sustain and Scale.
