IIM Jammu hosts 15-day ‘Nurturing Future Leadership Program’

JAMMU, Jan 5: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu today inaugurated the fifteenth batch of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program, organized under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The 15-day program consisted of 25 participants from different parts of the country and has been designed to cultivate leadership capabilities among educators at various levels, creating a pool of potential leaders ready to drive generational transitions.
Prof Jabir Ali, Dean Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, graced the inaugural ceremony, which was also attended by Prof Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy (EE & C), IIM Jammu; Prof Nitin Upadhyay, Dean Academics and Program Director and Dr Ramswarup Bhaskar.
Prof. Jabir Ali, in his address, underscored that education extends beyond classrooms, fostering knowledge creation, evolving thought processes, and meaningful takeaways that influence life well beyond the Institute.
Prof Sanjeev Pathak emphasized that the programme is not conventional. It is designed to strengthen individual leadership and enhance thinking, leading to meaningful transformation, he said.
Prof Nitin Upadhyay said that the programme will cover key themes such as leadership definition, generational and team dynamics, institutional culture, and the evolving financial landscape of higher education.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Ramswarup Bhaskar, Program Director, IIM Jammu.
Over five days, participants will engage in lectures, interactive workshops, group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and practical exercises, ensuring the active application of concepts. The training program is being coordinated and executed by office of the Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu.
