JAMMU, July 29: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti today visited the Commando Training Centre (CTC) Sunjwan to review the training infrastructure and preparedness of personnel undergoing specialized training.
During the visit, the IGP, accompanied by senior police officers, inspected key facilities including barracks, training grounds, firing range, lecture halls, canteen, and other essential support infrastructure.
The Principal of the centre briefed the IGP on the ongoing training modules and the overall functioning of the CTC.
Highlighting the need for modern training systems in light of evolving security challenges, the IGP stressed on improving physical and psychological training aspects.
He emphasized that upgraded infrastructure is essential for effective commando training and directed officers to focus on modernization.
The IGP also called for immediate repair and reinforcement of damaged areas.
He said regular maintenance, hygiene, and functionality of facilities must be ensured to provide a conducive environment for trainees.
He suggested that infrastructure development should be aligned with improvements in training content.
Senior officers including DIG JSK Range, SO to IGP Jammu, SSP Special Operations & Training, SP PC Jammu, Dy CO IR 14th Battalion, SDPO Jammu East, IC Provisions, IC Estates ZPHQ Jammu, and ICPP Chatha were present during the inspection.
