IGP reviews security along IB in Kathua

KATHUA, Nov 11: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Bhimsen Tuti, today visited the International Border (IB) in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua to review the security arrangements.
During his visit, the IGP inspected several border police posts and issued necessary directions to ensure strict vigilance.
The visit holds significance amid ongoing arrests and raids across Jammu and Kashmir to dismantle terror networks.
Following the recent explosion in Delhi, police have heightened alert levels across Kathua.
Joint teams of police and SOG are conducting searches from highways to higher reaches to prevent any untoward incident.
IG Tuti said that security personnel have been directed to remain fully alert as challenges related to terrorist activities persist in the region. He also emphasized close coordination among district police, BSF, Army, and intelligence agencies to ensure foolproof security along the border.
