IGP Jammu reviews security arrangements for Republic Day

JAMMU, Jan 19: In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, today chaired a high-level security coordination meeting at the Police Control Room, Jammu.
Senior officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, Central Armed Police Forces and intelligence agencies attended the meeting to review preparations and ensure peaceful and secure conduct of the event.
The meeting focused on law and order management, security arrangements, traffic regulation and coordination among different agencies.
A detailed presentation was given on the proposed Republic Day deployment plan, including manpower deployment, venue security, access control, traffic management, parking arrangements and contingency measures to deal with any untoward situation.
While addressing the officers, the IGP stressed the need for careful planning, close coordination and timely sharing of information among all agencies.
He directed all officers to maintain a high level of alertness and ensure that security and emergency response systems remain fully prepared.
The IGP also asked SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic City and other supervisory officers to ensure smooth traffic movement, create adequate parking facilities and maintain strict vigilance in their respective areas during the celebrations.
