JAMMU, Aug 7: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Crime, J&K, Sujit Kumar Singh, today visited the Crime Branch Headquarters in Jammu, where he interacted with officers, and held a crime review meeting.
A statement said it was his first visit to the headquarters after assuming charge as IGP Crime.
He was welcomed by senior officers upon his arrival. During his visit, IGP Singh inspected various units, reviewed the available resources, assessed their utilization, and discussed additional requirements for achieving the department’s goals.
He held detailed discussions on complex and high-profile cases, offering guidance and sharing his investigative experience from across Jammu and Kashmir.
He stressed the importance of a proactive approach to tackling financial frauds, drug trafficking, and cyber crimes.
IGP Singh urged officers to maintain professionalism, work with honesty and integrity, and ensure investigations are free from bias.
He also asked officers to prioritize the welfare and promotion matters of jawans and forward such cases to the Police Headquarters for appropriate action.
Commending dedicated investigators, he said those who produce results and secure convictions would be suitably rewarded.
