LEH, Dec 9: A delegation from Igoo village of Leh district, led by former BJP Councillor Tsering Paldan, met former Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal to request his personal intervention in the early sanctioning of the long-pending Igoo-Lankore road project and the timely installation of a 4G mobile tower in Igoo.
The delegation included prominent community members such as Tsewang Namgyal (Nambardar Igoo Langkore), Tashi Stobges (ex. Sarpanch), Skalzang Dorjay (Karu Member), Jigmet Norzom (BJP Media Secretary), and Tsering Dorjay.
Main issues raised during the meeting included the reconstruction of the 12.5 km Igoo-Lankore link road under the PMGSY scheme and the early installation of the sanctioned 4G mobile tower at Nagley Langkor.
Expressing their gratitude, the delegation acknowledged Jamyang Tsering Namgyal’s instrumental contributions during his tenure as MP, including preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the mentioned road and santioning the 4G mobile towers in Igoo village.
Reaffirming his commitment to public service, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal assured the delegation of his proactive efforts to address these matters with the Ministry of Rural Development in Delhi for road reconstruction under PMGSY and the Ministry of Telecommunications for the timely installation of the pending mobile tower.
