Recoveries made from the hideout include seven rusted IEDs, one wireless set, blankets and some other material which was dumped by the militants’ sometime back for causing terror strikes but they failed to use it due to pressure being maintained on them by security forces.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on, they said, adding that no arrests have been made so far.
The officials said preliminary investigation suggests the hideout was used by militants active in the area two decades ago.
Security forces cordoned off the area for sometime after the recoveries were made and conducted searches.
In the past, Dara Sangla was frequented by the militants. However, the area is now peaceful.
However, security forces are maintaining very high alert in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri ahead of the Parliamentary elections.
