Srinagar, July 7: Security forces today averted a major tragedy in Sopore by detecting and defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Mundji.
Police and Army today cordoned off Mundji area of Sopore after they received input about planting of an IED on road. They found the explosive device planted in a pressure cooker and placed on road side.
A bomb disposal squad was immediately rushed to the area and the explosive was recovered.
