JAMMU, Sept 21 : Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch today conducted a lecture on the topic “Medical Emergencies in Clinical Practice” at the Convention hall of The Business School, University of Jammu
Dr.Gautam Sharma, Secretary IDA, informed that more than 120 candidates who includes medical, dental, ayurvedic, homeopathic and physiotherapy practitioners attended this lecture as no practitioner can continue to ignore the medical emergencies which are a neglected part of our practices.
Dr. Rohit Punga, speaker on the occasion, enjoys the privilege of being one of the very few speakers in the country in the field who lecture extensively on medical emergencies & primary care in maxillofacial trauma.
‘It was a completely clinically oriented presentation encompassing basic life support manoeuvres which were discussed in detail. The clinical presentation, diagnosis and the emergency drugs & their doses were the important aspect of this programme’, said Dr.Bhupinder Singh, President of IDA.
The lecture was followed by queries session in which the participants asked various questions from Dr.Rohit Punga.
Dr.Rajiv Mengi, Treasurer of IDA and Oral Pathologist at IDS Sehora said that we are planning a workshop on Medical Emergencies in coming days in which clinicians can practically see how to manage an emergency.
IDA executive members who were present during this lecture includes Dr.OP. Singh Rissam, Dr. Sarang Khajuria, Dr.Umang Jamwal, Dr. Prince.A.Singh, Dr.Kunal Vuthoo, Dr.Vibha Raina and Dr. Navjot Singh.
