ICCR to organize Intl Art Exhibition in Jammu

JAMMU, May 6: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is going to organize the first ever Art Exhibition in Jammu.
Displaying the catalogue of this first ever art exhibition, the regional director of ICCR, Balwant Thakur, informed that after having successfully showcased performing arts of eight countries, ICCR Jammu is now coming up with first ever major International art show entitled ‘Maitri’ in Jammu in last week of May at Kala Kendra, Jammu.
Giving elaborated details about this International painting exhibition, Balwant Thakur further explained that  paintings of 19 artists created during ‘India-China Women Artists Residency’ will be displayed in this painting exhibition.
‘This exhibition will not only inspire local artists but also give a new flip to the contemporary art moment of Jammu’ claimed Thakur.
