ICC delegation meets DIG Shridhar Patil, discusses law & order issues

JAMMU, Apr 8: A delegation of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Jammu Chapter, led by chairman Rahul Sahai, on Wednesday called on newly appointed DIG Jammu Shridhar Patil to discuss key law and order issues impacting trade, industry and the overall business environment in the region.
During the meeting, the delegation deliberated on various pressing law and order issues affecting the region, particularly those impacting trade, industry, and the overall business ecosystem. Key concerns discussed included long pending passport verifications, drug menace, ensuring a safe and secure environment for business operations, strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies and industry stakeholders, and addressing challenges faced by the business community.
Rahul Sahai along with Ashish Jain and Raj Dua from ICC highlighted the importance of maintaining robust law and order to facilitate economic growth and attract investments in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that a secure environment is critical for the development of trade, tourism and industry in the region.
Shridhar Patil assured the delegation of full cooperation from the police administration. He reiterated his commitment to maintaining law and order and fostering a secure and business-friendly environment in Jammu province.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to maintain regular dialogue and collaboration between the police department and the industry body for addressing emerging concerns effectively.
