ICAI organizes certificate course on AI for chartered accountants

JAMMU, July 27: A certificate course on Artificial Intelligence for Chartered Accountants (AICA) – Level 1, organized by the J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was concluded here today.
The course was specifically curated to equip members of the profession with foundational knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), its core technologies and practical applications in audit, finance, taxation and accounting workflows.
Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Pargal, Chairman of the J&K Branch, emphasized the importance of integrating technological tools like AI into the professional toolkit of every Chartered Accountant and lauded the participants for their enthusiastic engagement throughout the course.
During the course, participants engaged in hands-on sessions, interactive discussions and live demonstrations of AI tools with direct relevance to the CA profession.
The teaching methodology focused on practical learning, use case development and group presentations.
On the first day, Dr Sourabh Maheshwari covered AI fundamentals, digital transformation and natural language processing applications in audit and taxation.
On 2nd day, Rishir Soni led sessions on machine learning basics, data analytics in finance and AI-driven reporting and fraud detection.
On the concluding day, Akhil Pachori focused on project implementation, AI in auditing and tax ethical considerations and future trends in AI adoption.
This initiative reflects ICAI’s commitment to empowering its members with future-ready skills and fostering a deep understanding of emerging technologies.
