SRINAGAR, May 14: Advising Hurriyat Conference to learn from Pakistan elections and not to go for poll boycott in 2014 elections, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Chairman Prof Bhim Singh today said that instead of asking people to boycott elections, the Hurriyat should shun it’s all disparity and work in unity for the welfare of people.
“I appeal Hurriyat with full application of mind to shun disparity and make a common platform to work for the welfare of people,” Singh said.
Congratulating  people of Pakistan for voting in large numbers in the elections, Singh  hoped people in Kashmir will follow the suit.
Replying to a question about the mass participation of Pakistani people in elections, Singh said people in Jammu and Kashmir should participate in elections to make the democracy strong by choosing honest leaders.
“Nawaz Sharif’s victory is bridge to peace between India-Pakistan relations and I hope it will give solution to the aspirations of people here,” he said.
Singh also said corrupt leaders should realize the power of general public and cited an example by saying like Pakistan people defeated the Kargil hero and made the villain of 1999 the winner.
Describing the Congress led UPA Government in Center and NC-Congress coalition in State as the “darkest era after 1947”, Singh said people are fed up with the corruption, injustice and scams and now want a break from corrupt Government. “BJP is directionless in the country, so we as alternate will govern the public well,” he added.
On rehabilitation of Pakistan returned militants, Singh said the militants returned on the assurance of Central as well as State Governments are harassed here, they have lost faith in Government.
