Hurrah Ashtami celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Feb 13: Hurrah Ashtami was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety.
In this connection night long bhajans and Kirtan was held in various temples and ashrams across Jammu in which a large number of devotees participated.
Hurrah Ashtami was celebrated at Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram, Udaiwala Bohri. Hundreds of devotees thronged the Ashram to participate in the function and offer prayers to Bhagawaan Ji.
Some reputed artists including Naina Saproo, Arti Razdan, Mamta Ji, Iqbal Koul, T N Dhar, Veer Ji Bhat, Shanti Lal Sidh and others sung bhajans and reverberated the entire atmosphere. The night long prayers were offered for invoking the blessings of Mother Goddess which was followed by mass prayers. The night long Jagran concluded with Bhagawaanji’s Aarti at 6 am this morning.
The Hurrah Ashtami was also celebrated at Ashram of Anand Swami Pran Nath Bhat Gareeb (Bhai Ji) at Krishana Sat Sang Bhawan Suriya Vihar Bohri.
On the occasion a C D Shiv Naad containing Shiv Bhajans was released by Swami Ji.
Ramesh Hangloo and Sanjay Dhar were guests of honour on the occasion. Swami Ji said Mr Hangloo Director Sharda Radio has given a great touch to Kashmiri language through Sharda Radio. He also recalled the role of Mr Dhar in social field. Shanti Lal Sidh’s melodious voice gave new nod to the bhajans. Swami Ji on the occasion blessed the devotees.
Another function was held at Geeta Satsang Ashram of Swami Kumar Ji at Muthi in which a large number of devotees participated.
Swami Kumar Ji on the occasion highlighted the significance of Hurrah Ashtami and Maha Shivratri.
Bhajan and Kirtan continued in the Ashram for entire night and the devotees were also served the prashad.
In connection with celebration of Hurrah Ashtami a function was organized at Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Laxmi Puram Chinore, Bantalab, in Jammu and Najab Ghar in New Delhi. A large number of devotes attended the function. Swami Kumar Ji spoke about the significance of the day.
