JAMMU, Oct 23: The ongoing chain hunger strike by the Plus 2 Contractual Lecturers entered into 252nd day today.
The agitating Contractual Lecturers, who replaced the earlier batch on hunger strike, this morning, included Pankaj Sharma, Ranjan Bala, Pankaj Rajput and others.
These Contractual Lecturers are demanding their regularization as per Civil Services Provision Act 2010, a Legislature passed for the regularization of all the Contractual/ Adhoc/ Consolidated/ employees as one time exception/relaxation.
The protesting Contractual Lecturers also held demonstration, which was addressed by Arun Bakshi, president of All J&K Contractual Lecturers (Plus 2) Association and others.
They reiterated their demand for regularization and vowed to continue the struggle as well as chain hunger strike till the Government concedes their demand.
