JAMMU, Feb 22: Up in arms against the recent adjustment of surplus Masters in far-flung areas, the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum has announced to observe 48-hour long chain hunger strike from February 25 at the Directorate of School Education Jammu.
This decision was taken during a meeting of the Forum, held today under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani and Ganesh Khajuria.
The Forum strongly criticized the authorities for not addressing the genuine concerns of the surplus Masters, who have been once again posted in remote areas despite their full tenure service in far flung schools earlier.
