SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Acting tough against violators, police in Shopian today urged youngsters to adhere to traffic rules and carry all required documents while driving.
In this regard, police intensified enforcement across the district to ensure road safety and promote responsible driving habits.
“During the ongoing campaign, hundreds of two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been seized and challaned for various violations, including lack of proper documents, rash driving, triple riding, driving without helmet, overloading and other offences under the Motor Vehicles Act,” police said.
Police urged the public, especially youth, to strictly follow traffic regulations, “wear helmets and seat belts, avoid over speeding and carry all valid documents while riding or driving.”
