JAMMU, Dec 29: BJP Jammu & Kashmir president and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA today stated that the enthusiastic participation of students in the Swadeshi Sankalp Abhiyan clearly reflects a growing sense of national responsibility among the youth towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Sat Sharma was speaking while receiving over 3,000 Swadeshi Sankalp Patras collected from students of various schools.
The Sankalp Patras were formally submitted by BJP J&K UT vice president and co-convenor of the programme Rekha Mahajan, along with state secretary Arun Kumar Sharma, in the presence of MLA Bahu Ch Vikram Randhawa, MLA Ramgarh Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Ayodhya Gupta and Bharat Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said, “Young minds today are increasingly aware that the future of India depends on supporting indigenous products and strengthening domestic industries. Swadeshi is not merely a purchasing choice, but a patriotic responsibility that directly contributes to employment generation, economic stability and national growth.”
“When youth prefer Indian products, they strengthen local manufacturers and help reduce dependence on foreign goods,” he said, adding that students play a crucial role in shaping India’s economic future.
Sat urged the youth to become ambassadors of the Swadeshi movement in their families, educational institutions and communities.
“The strong response to the Swadeshi Sankalp Abhiyan proves that India’s youth is ready to take leadership in creating a self-reliant, strong and prosperous nation,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Mahajan said that the campaign received an inspiring response from schools and students.
She explained that the Swadeshi Sankalp Patras symbolize a collective promise by the youth to support indigenous products, innovation and entrepreneurship.
“Encouraging students to adopt Swadeshi values is a powerful step toward shaping a confident and economically independent India,” she added.
