JAMMU, Feb 3: Aimed at supporting the education of children from financially weak families, the Harbans Roshan Bhalla Educational Foundation (HREF) today announced a 12-day Scholarship Selection Drive.
The selection drive will be conducted from 4th February to 16th February 2026 at the Bee Enn General Hospital Complex, Talab Tillo Road, between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM each day.
The HREF Scholarship Scheme is designed to provide educational opportunities to bright and committed students studying in Classes 1st to 3rd in government schools, particularly focusing on children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Once selected, deserving students may receive continuous educational support up to the college level, enabling them to build a secure and promising future.
Since its inception in 1997, HREF has remained steadfast in its mission to promote education among underprivileged children, with special emphasis on girl students.
Over the years, the foundation has made a significant impact, with more than 650 children benefiting from the scholarship programme in 2025 alone.
Notably, over 80 percent of the selected students belong to rural areas in and around the Jammu region.
For the current year, HREF has set an ambitious target of selecting 300 additional children under this life-changing initiative.
Eligible students from financially weak families are encouraged to participate in the selection process as per the announced schedule.
