HP&M Deptt holds brainstorming session

JAMMU, Dec 30: A one-day training programme and brainstorming session on agri-business supply chain management, office procedures and management, operation and use of the GeM portal and importance of ethical conduct in government offices was organised today by the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing at Narwal.
The main objective of the programme was to strengthen the working skills of officers and officials in office procedures and management to enable them to perform their duties in a more efficient and effective manner.
The training programme and brainstorming session commenced with a lecture on agri-business supply chain management delivered by Senior Assistant Professor Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management Central University of Jammu, Dr Shahid Mushtaq.
Associate Professor Government College for Women Parade Ground, Vinus Sharma delivered a lecture on the operation and use of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
Additionally, Dr Rupa Mahajan and Dr Harleen Kaur, Assistant Professors Department of Commerce, University of Jammu spoke on office procedures and management, organisational behaviour and importance of moral values and ethics in government offices. The programme witnessed huge participation from the functionaries of government departments.
The welcome address and vote of thanks were presented by Deputy Director, Ayaz Ahmad Natnoo. He expressed gratitude to the experts for delivering lectures in their respective specialised fields. He hoped that the learnings from the programme would help officers and officials perform their duties more efficiently and effectively in the field. He also appreciated the efforts of the management team headed by Auditor Dr Punkaj Gupta.
