SAMBA, May 11: A house wife committed suicide by hanging herself with ceiling fan hook at Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
She has been identified as Sangeeta Kumari, 30, wife of Sudesh Kumar resident of Bihar at present Teli Basti area of Bari Brahmana. The incident took place during the intervening night. When her husband saw her he immediately informed the police.
After receipt of the information police team rushed to the spot and took the body into its custody and shifted her to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for autopsy.
After the legal formalities the body was handed over to legal heirs for her last rites.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
