House Panel expresses concern over delay in submission of enquiry report

JAMMU, Nov 29: A meeting of the Joint House Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of Member Legislative Council, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo.
Legislators, G N Monga, S Charanjeet Singh and Ashok Khajuria special invitee attended the meeting.
The Committee expressed its displeasure for inordinate delay in the submission of enquiry report about Toshakhana by the Divisional Administration Jammu.
The Committee has asked the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Dy Commissioner, Jammu to inform the panel about the factual position at ground regarding Toshakhana items in its next meeting to be held on December 21.
It was also decided in the meeting that the Committee will visit Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Telangana, Junagarh and Madhya Pradesh to see their museums and heritages etc and also to enquire about the process of upkeep there.
Among other, Secretary Legislative Council, Abdul Majid Bhat, Special Secretary, Legislative Council, Abdul Majid Wani, Deputy Secretary Legislative Council, Ali Mohammad Rawat and senior officers of the concerned departments and Council Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
