JAMMU, Aug 22: The monsoon session of Parliament is over and once again the hopes of restoration of Statehood to J&K have been dashed. The Omar Government has also proved unsuccessful in pressurizing the Central Government in this regard.
This was stated by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit while addressing a press conference here today.
He said that BJP, which failed to gain power in Assembly elections, wants to retain control over power through the Lieutenant Governor.
“For the last 6 years, the Central Government has been singing the song of restoration of Statehood at an appropriate time and it was expected that it may restore the Statehood during this monsoon session but the ruling party has once again disappointed the people of J&K,” Sahni maintained adding that the NC Government in J&K also failed to adopt any strong stance against the evasive attitude of the Central Government.
