JAMMU, Dec 16: Union Home Secretary RK Singh, who is visiting Jammu, the winter capital of the State tomorrow, would hold two high level meetings to review security scenario in the State including the borders and internal areas.
Mr Singh would reach here from New Delhi at 9 am. He was scheduled to have aerial survey of Mughal Road and railway construction work at Banihal, if the weather permitted.
Official sources said the weather was bad at both Mughal Road and Banihal for aerial survey of the works. If the weather improved tomorrow, Mr Singh would hold the survey.
He would preside over a high level security review meeting at Civil Secretariat at 11.30 am of civil and police administration besides top brass of para-military and Intelligence agencies.
The Home Secretary would take a detailed assessment of the situation.
Mr Singh would hold another security review meeting of police and Intelligence officials at Police Headquarters in the afternoon. Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad and officers up to the rank of DIG would attend the meeting.
He would have a detailed appraisal of the situation and pass directions to the senior officers of different agencies in the State. He would also review development works on Mughal road, railway line to Srinagar etc.
Mr Singh would brief Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on the security scenario in the State after his return to New Delhi tomorrow afternoon.
