Sir,
Apropos to the news item ‘New chapter begins in J&K’ DE Aug 13 as said by Dy. Chief Minister of J&K at a book release event at Kolkata. No doubt a new chapter has begun in the State with flagging of ISSI flags and the disastrous ideology of the ISSI has trickled into the mindset of our genius young generation qualifying the highest competitive exams of IAS, which is going to be disastrous for the State as this mindset is being now exhibited on the streets of the Valley. It has attracted the youths of the Valley, which is an irreparable loss to the State. Quite contrary to the views of the Dy.CM, I am of the opinion that no doubt atmosphere created by the separatist, forces and terrorists in the State is changing but it changed in the context and now Pakistani and ISSI flags are frequently waved and pro Pakistani and pro ISSI slogans have gained momentum in the Valley and the action of the Govt is limited to the statements that it is a work of only few like minded disgrunteld people. The statement of the IG BSF that “I won’t say there is increase in infiltration. The trend of infiltration is similar as it was in the previous years’ is also an eye opener that atmosphere in the State is not changing as stated by Dy CM.
Further statement of the DyCM that ‘Some infiltrators had come during the Amarnath Yatra, but none of them could succeed’ is also far from the real facts which is evident from the recent attack on BSF vehicle claiming two lives of the brave soldiers of the BSF in ‘Udhampur Narsoo’ and injuries to some others. The number of daily attacks in the Valley on security forces and their establishments also do not testify the statement of DyCM. Earlier too, some of the hollow statements of the Dy. Chief Minister of J&K stand fully exposed during the ongoing agitation for the AIIMS in Jammu. Why our elected representatives keep us in dark by airing their hollow statements far away from the reality is a matter of debate in the national channels by some think tanks.
Yours etc….
