Sir,
India believes that the world is like a one family (Vasu Dev Kutumbkum) and its foreign policy is based on this principle. India has always tried to solve the problems with its neighbouring countries peacefully without hurting their interests.
The recent India-Bangladesh Land Border Agreement is a historical one. The leadership of both the countries has taken a bold step to make the agreement operational. It shows the political maturity of both the Prime Ministers.
It is worthwhile to mention here that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed this agreement as “Meeting Hearts” and “not less then the fall of the wall of Berlin.”
This agreement will inspire other neighbouring countries to follow the same for establishing stronger and friendly bilateral ties for the welfare of their countries in general and sub continent in particular. Such things will pave the way for world peace and prosperity.
