JAMMU, July 15: A three day long Maha Yagya was held at Nadimarg village in Kulgam district where 24 Kashmiri Pandits were massacred by terrorists over two decades back in a brutal attack.
This sacred ritual was conducted for the first time after 1990, carrying immense historical and emotional significance, particularly as it was held for the first time since the tragic Nadimarg Massacre of 2003.
The Hawan served as a symbol of resilience, remembrance, and revival, paying tribute to the innocent lives lost in the massacre while reaffirming faith in peace, healing, and social harmony. Devotees, saints, locals, and members of the Kashmiri Pandit community gathered in large numbers to offer prayers and participate in the spiritual rituals that concluded with Purna Ahuti.
On this momentous occasion, the organizers extend their sincere vote of compliments to all those who made this historic event possible:
This Hawan marks a new chapter of spiritual revival and coexistence in Nadimarg, and stands as a tribute to the courage of those who never let the light of faith fade, despite the darkest of times.
The religious function was organised by Arda Narashwar Temple Nadimarg Shopian/ Kulgam led by Bushan Lal Bhat, its Chairman.
