Hindu Conference held to observe RSS centenary year

JAMMU, Dec 29: To observe the centenary year of the foundation of RSS, a Hindu Conference was organised here today at Bua Dati Mandir in Muthi.
Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Shri Aksharanand Ji Maharaj of Juni Akhara, Patti (Raya) Ashram in Jammu was the main speaker on the occasion and he blessed a very large gathering with his motivating words of wisdom on spirituality and patriotism.
He quoted the life, works and literature of Swami Vivekananda, Rabindra Natha Tagore, Vinoba Bhave, Dr. Mohd. Iqbal and Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagwad Geeta, sacrifices of Guru Teg Bahadur, Guru Gobind Singh and the four Sahibzade to teach the gathering healthy life style and importance of time tested Hindu culture and civilization while imbibing the worldly knowledge of all languages and subjects.
The chief guest on the occasion was Avtar Krishan, State general secretary (Prant Karyawah) of RSS.
In his address, Avtar Krishan focused on five pledges (Panch Pran) propounded by the RSS for the citizens of this country.
He asked the gathering to focus on removing colonial mindset, taking pride in roots, fostering unity and emphasizing citizen duties.
Earlier, Manohar Lal Dogra presented welcome address.
Mass singing of National Song Vande Matram was led by Charitra Rekha. Children of Ram Mandir Club headed by Vir Vikramaditya recited Hanuman Chalisa. Ashok Bhat recited another patriotic song.
Sukh Dev, J.S Jamwal, Ajay Sharma, Raj Kumar, Sahil, Ajay, Sat Pal Sharma, Vikramaditya, Dr. Sushil Watal and others were also present on the occasion.
Tilak Raj accompanied the dignitaries to pay respects at Shri Bua Dati Temple followed by Malyarpam of the Mahamandleshwar and RSS general secretary by Rajesh Thapa, Justice (Retd) B.L Bhat, Ashok Bhat and many others.
Presentation of Shawl to guests was done by Neelam Kumar Sharma, Kavi Raj and his team.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajesh Thappa.
