DODA, Dec 7: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of J&K Police in Doda achieved a major success today during a search operation conducted in a coordinated manner under the supervision of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta in Bhalara Forest area, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the SOG team of J&K Police launched a search operation in the forested belt which led to the recovery of one SLR rifle, 2 magazines and 22 live rounds.
The recovery of these arms and ammunition marks a significant step toward strengthening the security grid in the region and preventing their potential misuse by anti-social or anti-national elements.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the origin of the recovered weapons and identify the individuals or groups responsible for concealing them.
