HelpAge India celebrates ‘Intl Day of Older Persons’

JAMMU, Oct 1: HelpAge India Jammu celebrated ‘International Day of Older Persons’ at Shibu Chak village in Bishnah and Sarwa village in Samba.
During the event, HelpAge India, Jammu team felicitated and honoured parents and wives of two brave soldiers, who lost their lives while fighting the four terrorists, who attacked the Army Brigade Headquarters in Uri Sector of Baramulla district on September 18 this year.
Havildar Ravi Paul of 10 Dogra Regiment was one of the 18 brave soldiers who lost his life while fighting the four terrorists. He served the Army for 23 years .He was from village Sarwa in Ramgarh sub-sector of Samba district. The soldier left behind his Mother Malavie Devi, Wife Geeta Rani and his two sons, Vansh and Saransheesh.
Naib Subedar Karnail Singh was from Shibu Chak village in Bishnah. He has made the village proud with his martyrdom. The soldier left behind his mother Ratno Devi, wife Geeta Saini and his three sons, Anmol, Arun and Shivam.
