SRINAGAR, Dec 18: The Jammu a. Kashmir Higher Education Department (HED) has proposed 49 days winter break for degree colleges of Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division from December 27.
According to Director Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, Prof Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, the department has proposed to announce winter vacation from December 27 to February-14.
“As per the academic planner of Higher Education Department, we have proposed to announce the 49 days’ winter vacation for colleges of Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division from December-27,” he said.
“As of now, we haven’t got a nod from the competent authority: he said.
Earlier on November 25, School Education Department (SED) had announced winter break in a phased manner for Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division.
