JAMMU, Oct 1: Holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji witnessed heavy rush of pilgrims on first Navratra today with about 37,000 yatris leaving Katra, the base camp of the shrine, for Bhawan to pay obeisance to the Goddess.
Reports said nearly 37,000 yatris, drawn from different parts of the country, reached Katra by late tonight and majority of them left for the Bhawan. They would have darshan of natural pindies of Goddess Vaishno Devi ji inside the cave shrine during early hours of tomorrow morning and during the day.
Similarly, large number of pilgrims had left for the Bhawan yesterday to have darshan on first Navratra today.
Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and entire surrounding area has been well decorated on the pious occasion of Navratras.
