JAMMU, Aug 21: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital (SVMMCH), Ambphalla in collaboration with AYUSH Department, Jammu successfully organized a free Ayurvedic medical check-up camp here today at the hospital premises to promote the heritage of traditional medicines and to ensure that quality Ayurvedic healthcare remains accessible to the people of Jammu.
The camp was led by Dr. Samta Gupta (Medical Officer, AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre, Kotli Arjun Singh) along with Vijay Kumar Bhat (Junior Pharmacist, AYUSH Department), who provided free medical consultations.
Ayurvedic medicines supplied by AYUSH Department were also distributed free of cost benefitting people from all walks of life.
Over 154 patients visited the camp and were guided by the experts on healthcare.
The camp was graced by the Management Committee of SVMMCH, including Amar Chand, senior vice president; B.B Gupta, general secretary; B.S Jamwal, secretary and Mohan Singh Chouhan, treasurer.
Dr. Romesh Gupta, Administrator SVMMCH highlighted the role of such initiatives in raising awareness about Ayurveda and preventive healthcare. The camp was managed by Iqbal Deep Singh, Manager SVMMCH.
Hospital management assured that such camps will continue.
