UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Chief Education Officer Udhampur, today conducted a surprise visit of Government High School Thalora where Headmaster of the school and three others were found absent from duty.
Taking cognizance of the unauthorized absence of Headmaster Anita Salooch, teacher Parveen Akhter, PET Raj Kumar and Jr Assistant Ram Parsad, the CEO ordered a departmental inquiry against the erring official, who were directed to report to CEO office by tomorrow.
The CEO also directed the ZEO Majalta to provide teaching staff, as per immediate need of the institution, from the nearby school having less enrollment till further orders.
A committee, comprising of District Education Planning Office Udhampur, Dy CEO Udhampur and ZEO Majalta was also constituted with immediate effect for conducting a detailed inquiry into the matter and submit a report within a week’s time.
Pertinent to mention that Headmaster Anita Salooch, PET Raj Kumar and Jr Assistant Ram Parshad were also found absent during the visit of Tehsildar Majalta on August 28, 2015. Their explanations, received through ZEO Majalta, were not satisfactory.
