Head of religious organization booked

JAMMU, Apr 10: President of a religious organization–Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS) was booked for allegedly hurting the sentiments of majority community with a series of objectionable posts about the novel Coronavirus outbreak on social media.
According to reports, the SSDS Bhadarwah President Virender Razdan was booked under Sections 153 A, 295 A and 188 IPC and section 67 of the Information Technology (IT) Act by Bhaderwah Police. Series of objectionable posts were uploaded by Razdan related to Covid-19 outbreak on his Facebook account.
ADC has also written to Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda recommending him for the suspension of Razdan, who is also a Government teacher and conduct of departmental inquiry.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer Doda Tariq Hussain placed Virender Razdan under suspension with immediate effect. The teacher will remain attached in the office of CEO Doda.
