JAMMU, Nov 19: High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has upheld the detention under PIT NDPSA of Manpreet Singh alias Sartaj ordered by Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Justice MA Chowdhary observed, “the contention, on behalf of the detenue/petitioner that his representation was not considered, is not factually correct as is borne out of the detention record. No other ground was urged. As such, detention order cannot be said to have invalidated on this count of representation. As a result, petition is found to be devoid of any merit and is liable to be dismissed”.
