JAMMU, Aug 26: In view of the high alert issued by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu due to extraordinary climatic conditions, the functioning of the High Court Jammu Wing, along with all District and Subordinate courts in Jammu province, will remain suspended tomorrow on August 27.

An order issued by the Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh said that cases scheduled for hearing at the High Court Jammu Wing on August 27 will be taken up between September 1-20.
The directions, passed under the instructions of the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, also mandate closure of all lower courts in the province.
For urgent criminal matters, Chief Judicial Magistrates have been asked to conduct proceedings through hybrid mode to ensure litigants and law enforcement agencies do not face hardships.
Meanwhile, Principal District Judges have been directed to circulate the information and enforce compliance.
