Srinagar, May 14: Division Bench of State High Court comprising, Justice Hasnain Masoodi and Justice Ali Mohammad Magray today upheld the single bench order of quashing 2012 provisional selection list of teachers for district Kupwara.
The DB has directed the SSB to form a district level selection committee for Kupwara district under rule 6 of Civil Services and Decentralisation Recruitment Act 2010. It has also directed the SSB to conduct the interviews for the post of teachers within 3 months.
The SSB had advertised 5845 posts of teachers across the state and for district Kupwara 563 were advertised and provisional selection list was issued in 2012. But it was challenged by the non-selected candidates who alleged that the rules were not followed while conducting the interviews.
The plea taken was that one of the members of the selection committee was changed during the course of interviews.
