JAMMU, Aug 12: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued a directive mandating strict adherence to prescribed uniform norms for all its officers and officials, warning that violations will invite disciplinary proceedings.
In a circular issued today, Registrar General (Officiating) M K Sharma expressed concern over instances where employees, including personal staff attached to officers of the Registry, staff of the e-Courts/IT section, orderlies, ushers and drivers, were attending duties in casual attire instead of the designated uniform.
“”This practice is causing indiscipline and adversely affecting the smooth functioning of the High Court,” the circular stated emphasizing that compliance with uniform rules was mandatory for all categories of staff, gazetted and non-gazetted alike.
The order directs all controlling officers to ensure that employees under their supervision follow the dress code strictly. “Non-compliance shall be viewed seriously and may invite disciplinary action,” Registrar General cautioned.
