HC directs Varsity to allow BBA students to sit in exams

Srinagar, Apr 3:  High Court today directed the Maharishi Dayanand University Haryana to allow the students pursuing their BBA course in the Varsity under Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme to sit in the exams and pursue their next semesters.
The three students Saadat Rasool , Anayatullah Mir and Junaid Muzaffar Ahmad Sheikh were denied to pursue their next semester of BBA Course and the examination thereof on the plea that they had to bear Rs 28000 more in addition to the money being paid to the institute under PM’s SS Scheme.
They approached the court with the prayer that the respondents more particularly Chairman of Technical Campus at Haryana be commanded to allow the petitioners to pursue their next semester in BBA course in his institute under PMSS Scheme and subsequently allow them to appear in the examination.
Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Advocate Waseem Aslam on behalf of the petitioners issued four weeks notice to the respondents and directed them to allow the petitioners to pursue their BBA course under PSS Scheme at their risk and responsibility.
Court also directed the respondents not to declare the result of the petitioners till further orders.
