KATHUA, June 1: Police in Billawar area today claimed they have arrested a hardcore criminal and history-sheeter with a sharp weapon.
Zahoor Hussain of Dher, Tehsil Billawar, was held with the weapon (Khokhri) when he was roaming around in Billawar for committing some serious crime, a police official said.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 84/2025 under section 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Billawar, he said.
According to the police official, the arrested individual is a history-sheeter, as he has been already facing 14 criminal cases registered at different police stations.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Station Billawar led by SHO concerned, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Neeraj Padyar.
