JAMMU, May 18: Police in Miran Sahib area claimed today that they have apprehended a hardcore criminal with a gun.
The accused, who is a juvenile, was arrested with a country-made pistol (desi katta) along with one live cartridge in connection with an FIR number 53/2025 registered under sections 103, 132, 191(2) of the BNS and 3/25 Arms Act, a police official said.
According to him, the accused was also wanted for his involvement in an attack on a police party of Police Station Bari Brahamana and other cases registered under FIR numbers 89/2024 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act and 53/2025 under sections 109/132/121(1)/125(a)/126(2)/191(2)/191(3) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
