“Har Ghar Sanskrit” campaign reaches BJP office with Sanskrit nameplates

JAMMU, Sept 16: “Har Ghar Sanskrit” (Sanskrit in every home), an initiative, aimed at promoting and spreading the Sanskrit language, achieved a new milestone today as all office bearers at the Jammu BJP office displayed nameplates in Sanskrit.
The campaign was initiated by Mahant Rohit Shastri, president and State Awardee of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, J&K BJP president Sat Sharma said, “Sanskrit is the treasure of our ancient tradition, knowledge and culture. The ‘Har Ghar Sanskrit’ campaign is a significant effort to raise awareness, instill self-pride and revive Indian culture. The BJP family supports this campaign wholeheartedly and is committed to spreading it widely across the community.”
Echoing similar sentiments, R K Chibber, Trustee of the Trust, stated that Sanskrit is not just a language but the foundation of India’s cultural identity, scriptures and scientific heritage.
“Installing Sanskrit nameplates at the BJP office is an inspiring step that will encourage the younger generation to stay connected with their roots,” he said.
The event also witnessed recitation of Sanskrit verses and participants took a pledge to promote the use of Sanskrit in their homes, society, and workplaces.
The Trust announced plans to expand the campaign further by reaching schools, colleges, ashrams, social organizations and businesses through Sanskrit nameplates, learning camps and cultural seminars.
Among others who attended the program and extended their support included Sunil Sharma (Leader of Opposition), MLA Garuram Bhagat, Sangeeta Dogra, Pramod Sharma, Rajan Sharma, M L Verma, Neha Mahajan, Balbir Ram Rattan and others.
