UDHAMPUR, Mar 6: A habitual drug peddler has been booked under Section 111 BNS in NDPS Act.
During the course of investigation in case FIR No. 28/20P{26 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, two accused persons namely Muheeb Maqbool Mir, son of Mohd. Maqbool Mir of Devipora Rangpora Ellahi Bagh, Srinagar and Aijaz Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar of Gulab Bagh, Srinagar were arrested.
During further investigation, it came to fore that the accused namely Aijaz Ahmad Dar is a notorious drug peddler and is already involved in multiple NDPS cases.
On scrutiny of records, the accused has been found previously booked in the cases FIR numbers 23/2022 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act of P/S Zakoora.FIR No. 30/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of P/S Zadibal.
As both the cases have already been chargesheeted and the accused is found to be involved in continuing narcotics offences, Section 29 NDPS Act and Section 111 BNS have been invoked against the said accused in the instant case.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
