JAMMU, Feb 6: The birth anniversary of Guru Gyagi Ji, a spiritual luminary, was commemorated with unparalleled fervor and gaiety at his sacred shrine in Shahzadpur. This momentous occasion brought together thousands of devotees from Jammu and neighboring states, united in their reverence for the saint’s timeless teachings.
The Guru Gyagi Mandir Committee orchestrated a grand celebration, transforming the temple complex into a vibrant tapestry of devotion and unity. The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the sound of sacred chants echoed through the halls as devotees paid obeisance to the revered Guru.
The festivities included Pooja-Archana, Havan, and melodious bhajans in praise of Guru Gyagi Ji, creating an atmosphere of spiritual bliss. Devotees savored the sweetness of prasad, served with love and devotion by the committee. From dawn till dusk, a steady stream of devotees waited patiently to catch a glimpse of the sacred shrine, their faces aglow with faith and devotion.
R L Kaith, speaking on behalf of the Guru Gyagi Mandir Committee, highlighted Guru Gyagi’s secular and universal message, emphasizing global brotherhood and oneness. He further emphasized Guru Gyagi’s message of love, unity, and service, inspiring the gathering to strive for spiritual growth and societal harmony.
On the occasion, chief guest Mohan Lal Kaith honoured Gold Medalist Dr Abhimmanyu Kaith, National Boxer Havildar Master Ram Kaith and presented a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to Kunaal Bassa on winning a gold medal in Wushu (Sanda) at the national level.
Guest of honour, former JMC Councillor Rashpal Bhardwaj highlighted the revered saint’s life and activities, and urged the gathering to follow the path paved by him.
Baba Ram Kaith, president, Guru Gyagi Mandir Committee, also spoke on the occasion.
