JAMMU, Apr 17: J&K president of National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI), Rajesh Gupta today urged the Lt Governor, G.C Murmu to waive off water and electricity bills for next six months from March 2020 to till September 2020 in view of Coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement Gupta asked government to come up with concrete relief measures for a larger section of the society whose livelihood has got affected by the lockdown imposed by the authorities in view of Coronavirus pandemic.
NDPI chief said, on one hand such restrictions are the need of the hour while on the other government should also take necessary steps to mitigate the sufferings of people affected by the lockdown.
Gupta expressed concern over the plight of families whose livelihood has got badly hit due to restrictions.
