JAMMU, May 19: President Gau Raksha Samiti, Raj Kumar Gupta here today distributed quintals of vegetables among the poor and needy people.
In a handout Gupta said that people across the nation especially the poor and daily wage earners are facing severe hardship in the ongoing second wave of Corona pandemic.
He said, lakh of people have lost their source of earning due to the Corona curfew.
“Although the government has announced relief and free ration for such people yet it becomes the moral duty of individuals and groups who are well off to help the poor and hapless lot,” Gupta maintained appealing people of J&K to extend helping hand to the needy.
He also appealed to the people to strictly follow COVID SOPs and get vaccinated to win the battle against the second wave of COVID-19.
