Guldev Raj Bhagat elected new president of SKS

JAMMU, Jan 20: The election process of new working committee of All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha (SKS) was concluded here today.
During the meeting, Guldev Raj Bhagat, was elected as the new president of the Sabha, while Som Nath was been elected as the new general secretary.
After the withdrawal date for nomination forms, both positions, president and general secretary were declared unopposed.
On this occasion, the outgoing president, Faqir Chand Bhagat, who served as the President for an exceptional term of 15 years (unopposed), were widely appreciated by the attendees.
During his tenure, the Sabha achieved several milestones, including i.e Securing a holiday on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti, establishing a rotary sanctioned in the name of Sant Kabir Chowk, and successfully constructing 30 Kabir Mandirs across the Union Territory of J&K.
His leadership and efforts in uplifting the community during his extensive tenure received heartfelt recognition from the entire Bhagat community.
Furthermore, it was decided that the newly elected president shall nominate the remaining office bearers to complete his team.
The community has expressed high hopes for the newly elected members, urging them to work earnestly towards the progress and upliftment of the weaker sections of society.
The Bhagat Biradari congratulated the newly elected office bearers, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
